It almost looks like that bar is too short, but too late now you can’t switch piercings like this for at least 6-8 weeks so it can properly heal. For two days? Yeah it’s completely normal for some red and swelling. What wouldn’t be normal if it was completely red and started to spread, extreme pain with swelling and hot to the touch, along with pus and crust. But for two days this is awesome. Just remember to please keep it clean. Follow instructions of the shop you got it done at.
IS MY BELLY PIERCING OK!

Aleysha
Soo got my belly pierced two days ago. I’ve been cleaning it twice a day by spraying then moving it around a little, bit now it’s been bleeding and it just doesn’t seem right to me! What does everyone think ?

When I was 16 and got my belly pierced the bar was too short and it started to gage, so my mom took me to another place to have them put a longer bar in. After that I never had any problems with it. So I personally would do that and not wait and have it redone. And I’m 21 now so I’ve had it for 5 years.

They pierced it to deep so as it swelled it has no where to go use Bactine till calms down then change out bar a d to be honest most deep piercings never fully heal so once it's better u may wanna take it out let it heal scar tissue settle and repierce AT ANOTHER SHOP ..... do not take it out right now till it calms down and only use bactine dnt do saltwater dnt do tea tree oil u need to use bactine and take out heal and repierce or this this never stop happening and yes I pierce btw

So when you say the bar is too short is it short as in it’s been pierced to high or just short in general

I swear by this.... it gets rid of any redness and infections or irritation... 1.boil water2. Put a tea spoon of sea salt into a mug3. Fill the mug half way with the boiled water and stir4. Wait for the water to cook down so it’s not boiling hot and just warm5. Get a cotton swab and dip it into the water and start cleaning all around the bar, your piercing and the redness of the skin Do that twice a day I’d say it’s perfectly fine but it’s getting irritated

Aleysha don’t think they have done a bad job and pierced too much of your skin because they haven’t... this is the normal amount of skin they pinch and pierce.. I’ve seen a lot of piercings that are deeper or thinner etc either because that’s the way they have done it or because of previous piercings or because of hernia’s etc.. and even they use salts.. but I would say the bar is a little short and it is suppose to be just the tiniest bit longer so you can move it around when you clean it and to prevent any irritation and it makes it easier to clean properly... if you want to use bactine then try it but don’t be afraid of trying salt either.. it’s your body and either way it’ll get better.. Good luck sweets 💜

Several people have said about using salt and water... it’s not a old school method... and almost everyone’s belly piercing turns out like this when it’s newly done so antibiotics are abit excessive... I’ve had all different types of piercings not just several of similar ones and not once have they dries out or have I had an issue with them... she can go to a different shop and ask for advice or even the doctor and they will most likely tell her the same method... I don’t think so many people will advise that if it was risky to SOME people.

I didnt say take it out DUH I SAID USE BACTINE LET HEAL THEN REMOVE AND GET IT REDONE once she gets this to heal the inside will be a mass of scar tissue No one has used sea salt method in years why becuz it kills the healthy tissue as would peroxide and spread infection not EVERYONE has the immune system to fight shit off like this especially when its pierced to damn deep theres way to much skin pierced I didnt say take it out NOW I said Bactine let it heal get antibiotics and take out and have redone 😏 if said it 6x thro this whole post some people use tea tree oil some use sea salt not everyone is the same so as a SAFE bet bactine is safest it kills bacteria and numbs the area and lubricates it Sea salt again can dry it out Theres way to much skin pierced bottom line

Bar belles are standard cut for a reason it's not to tight its irritated and pierced to deep the piercer pierced way to much skin so use bactine nothing else let it calm down maybe gets round of antibiotics and take out and restart u will cont to have the same issue and when this shit happen the infection has no where to go but internalize so itll go into ur blood stomach lining who knows .... get bactine antibiotics see a dr and take it out once face wait 2 mts and go to a better piercers

I used tattoo saline spray to clean (you can get from Walmart) when I got mine pierced and it worked wonders to keep mine clean and I never had redness or soreness after the first few days !! And it’s in spray form!! I’ve had mine almost 4yrs now and it’s perfect

And never ever ever touch it and when you clean it sanitize your hands before

Use plain dial soap to wash it. Do not move the bar up and down when you wash it, move it side to side. Up and down can have dry pus scrape the inside. Also get h2ocean or a saline spray (from walgreens or cvs its a wound wash pure saline) spray that on like 4 times a day. If pussy do a shot glass of warm water and salt on it once a day too. This will help i have many piercings
