IUD with PCOS?

I was diagnosed with PCOS pretty early (around 14/15yo) so I’ve been on birth control since then, and I’m 22, almost 23 now. I’ve done both the pill and the patch, back and forth and different brands and so on. I’m honestly tired of it now😂 I’m tired of having to take the pill at the same time every single day. So I’m considering the IUD as an option. I’ve heard sooo many horror stories that up until now, I was adamant that I’d never get an IUD. But alas, here we are. So, any of you ladies with PCOS have an IUD and a story you don’t mind sharing? Your thoughts/opinions on it? Likes/dislikes?
