Does having a baby make a marriage happier ?

We have no children but sometimes wonder would our life be more fulfilling and happier with a baby ? I love the time and freedom we have but some couples make parenting seem so amazing and easy! Sometimes I wonder are we missing out ?

It makes it way HARDER. But yes it does make it a little more happier. We get joy from watching our son grow and learn and do goofy stuff. But we really miss our old selves and how much time we had for each other before kids. But we remember that our time will come again after our children are grown and more independent. So we know it isn’t a permanent thing.

No... It makes it harder. If you're not careful, you'll lose your spouse and just have a parent. People stupidly put kids before their spouse. You'll be more tired, have no time to yourself, disagree over parenting choices, be more financially strained and your families will be crazy involved. If you're not ready for a kid and you're just trying to "fix" your marriage this is a surefire way to bend it to the point of breaking. Don't have a kid til you're BOTH ready, in a good place in your marriage and are not using a child as a scapegoat essentially.
The best advice I was ever received on how to make a marriage work is outdo serving each other daily. Not make it a crazy competition but like... Work harder every day to serve your spouse better than yesterday. Keep serving each other day in and day out. Learn each other's love languages and spoil them in theirs. Always thank them and show them your appreciation. Show them how grateful you are that they are yours forever. Be kind. Be compassionate. Be each other's biggest fan! You're married! This is an amazing blessing! Live like it is. (:

For every one I know it just makes your current situation more extreme. If you guys are happy you’ll be thrilled(stressed and tired by thrilled) if you’re already having trouble shit is going to hit the fan.

It depends if a baby is wanted in the marriage or not. I have two kids with my husband and just found out we have one on the way. We decided to divorce before I found out and are still continuing with our divorce process. Neither of the three have made our marriage any happier honestly.
