Question
Would you consider an early chemical pregnancy as a child loss?
(early as in, you never tested positive for the pregnancy but based on symptoms the doctor diagnosed the chemical pregnancy)
(Chemical pregnancy: fertilized egg fails to attach to uterus or is expelled before the pregnancy can technically be detected. Some early detection tests can pick up these types of pregnancies but usually they occur before 4-5 weeks gestation)
My period was a day late. It started off normal but continued past it’s regular 5 days into a light spotting for up to 12 days. I called the doctor on day 11 of the spotting and they did not ask me to come in but told me to let my body work it’s course. No tests were ever done for this event. So nothing was ever confirmed. The spotting stopped sometime the next day. I experienced unusual cramping and back pain during this time and continued to have an upset/crampy stomach for 1-2 weeks after the spotting stopped.
