Some advice/I need to hear your stories!

Some background: my periods started again about a year ago after having my little boy and they've been all over the place. I have no idea when I ovulate and my LMP started on the 28th December.

My husband and I started trying for number 2 this month and I've just got the result on the test this morning. HOWEVER. A couple of days ago I started to spot, mostly brown discharge (which I usually get) but with some reddish/pink thrown in for good measure. I don't really have any other symptoms other than a 'feeling' which led me to take the test.

So could it be? Has it actually worked?!
