WOW people can be cruel...

Does anyone follow Humans of New York on Insta/FB? Yesterday there was a post about a single guy who goes to have dinner with his married friends and their toddler. His story was honestly funny and perfectly fine, but it was the COMMENTS that are alarming.

Like, do this many single people in our generation have such a loathing for married people with kids?? So many of the comments were just bitter and not compassionate at all. I completely understand that single friends quickly can feel left out when others get married or have babies, but that's just life...people take different paths and we can't all keep partying like we did in our early 20s forever. It's so important to make time for friendships but I'm not understanding why all the commenters harbored such private negativity without talking to their friends about it personally/openly to discuss how they feel. Or why not just start forming friendships with others who choose to be single so you can form bonds with other like-minded people?? I'm so saddened and honestly a little angry. Calling married parents "smug" seems like bitterness. OK end rant!! 😂💖😂
