Should I take a test??

So my boyfriend and I always have sex without a condom and he always finishes inside me. I’m on birth control and usually take it religiously so I know I’m pretty safe from pregnancy. However this month has been crazy busy for me and I’ve been inconsistent with my pill for example, forgetting to take it 4 days in a row or something.

My period is supposed to come today but it hasn’t and now I’m starting to worry a little bit. I’m 19, and my boyfriend is 24 so although we’re young, it wouldn’t be the end of the world if I was pregnant. I just don’t know when I should test? Is it to early to test now or should I wait a week or two?
