Iud strings?

So it’s day 5 of my newly inserted iud. It’s my first time having one and I decided to finally feel for my strings and I can’t find them... or my cervix. I tried squatting and laying down. Nothing. Does anyone have any other tips? I know that your cervix moves around during different times in your cycle but I’m feeling a little anxious just because I want to know if it’s still in me. I had a very smooth insertion and even the aftermath wasn’t all that bad so I’m just sitting here wondering if it’s still there😳😂

Maybe try a lunge position, the raised leg on a bed or the toilet lid with the support leg turned out and bent? This position works for me haha but sorry for the bad description. Also, I couldn't feel my strings until the end of my next period after insertion if that helps? I wouldn't sweat it if you can't feel the strings all the time, it takes a little practise and time sometimes 😊 goodluck

Give it a day or 2 and try again. I squat down in the shower and use my middle finger because it's the longest. I've noticed sometimes it's easy to find and sometimes even squatting I have to strain to find it. So your cervix may just be high up right now.
