FTM Transgender

So some of you on here are well aware that I use this app, as you should have seen some of my trending posts/comments, but if you don’t know me, this is somewhat an introduction and why I, a guy, use this app.

My name is Jesse and I’m 15 years old and a transgender male. Some people don’t know what transgenderism is, so let me explain. I myself was born female, yet with the brain of a male. My brain waves suggest that my neurological sequences and physical appearance do not match, which is the definition of gender dysphoria. My brain is highly convinced that I am a male, whereas my physical aspects say female. I have suffered gender dysphoria for my entire life. I’ve always shown signs of transgenderism, seeing as I constantly asked if I could be a boy and such when I was much younger.

I am not currently taking testosterone hormones, nor have I received sex reassignment surgery, therefore I still experience periods, hence why I am on this app that is meant for “females.” I need a way to track my period, just like the rest of you do. Many people on this app have already attacked me for, “being a man on a woman’s app.” That really gets to me. Periods are not just for females. I’m only 15, yet I’ve gone through enough hate and abuse in the past 4 years that individuals don’t even go through in a lifetime.

I understand that there will be people who don’t support me, and I respect that. I’m not going to shove my identity down your throat. However, if you refuse to respect me just because I’m transgender, then I as well will refuse to respect you. On another note, thank you to those who do support and respect me on this app. It really means a lot to me.
