Did you use a Doula?

I’d love to hear about your experience of having a Doula at your birth. Pros & Cons?

I loved my doula. My first pregnancy and labor I wanted to go natural but didn’t have the support. In the grips of labor pains I agreed to things hey said they were going to do because I didn’t really understand what was going on that I had never wanted. Having my water broken, getting an episiotomy and such.
My second child I got a doula and she helped me so much. She knew my birth plan and stuck up for that, making sure I knew all my options and that they were clear to me. She massaged, knew what positions to place me in and pumped me up while pushing. I ended up having a great natural labor with my second child because of her. I would highly recommend getting one if you are wanting to go without an epidural.
