Getting period and still pregnant??🤷‍♀️

So I have been talking with a lot of people the past few weeks about the first trimester and TONS of women say they had their period one or even two times before realizing they were pregnant. Anyone experienced this?? Sooo confused!!

Alot of women have some kind of bleeding early in pregnancy. Its common. But its not a period.

You can have period-like bleeding.
But you cannot have a true period and be pregnant.
Your period is when your uterus sheds its lining. Your uterus cannot sheds its lining if there is a baby in it.

I wish this were. I had a positive only to start AF the next day. It’s been a bleed, but lighter than normal and no cramps at all. I’m too afraid to even retest because I am already heartbroken and giving up.

I spotted until about 9 weeks, the blood ranged from dark brown to bright red. It was a small Subchorionic hemorrhage (a collection of blood that can develop between the gestational membranes, such as the placenta, and the uterus).

You can bleed but you need to get checked by a doctor if you do. For some it’s nothing for others it’s a bad sign
