Help! Want to be back on birth control but am afraid of side effects!

Years ago I started the estrogen pill which drove me CRAZY! So I switched to the mini pill which seemed fine and then I switched to nexplanon. I realized after having nexplanon for a few years my hair was thinning and I was gaining weight so I got off it, i also didn’t get a period. I have been looking into IUDs (copper and hormonal) and possibly the mini pill but I do not know what is the best option! Help😩
