How long is “ too soon “ after a 3 yr relationship?

It was serious thats for sure! But it wasnt healthy at all, I know that but it was also the deepest love i’ve ever felt but yet it was also my first love. I know this and you never know, if its meant to be it will be maybe just later in life. I am in college now and just need some advice bc ive been seeing this guy but idk if its just too much or if i should get out there....

Its whenever you truly feel ready. Its different for everybody, but if you really feel like your heart can handle it then youre ready. It has nothing to do with how long your relationship was or any of that it really matters if youre mentally ready to handle what comes with starting new and feeling emotionally ready to welcoming somebody new

I got out of a toxic 3 1/2 year relationship in October 2015. Met someone new in February 2016, we officially started dating in May 2016. Got engaged in December 2016, and married in May 2018. Everyone should move along with there life at whatever pace is comfortable 😊

It depends. I was with my ex-husband for almost 5 years and 9 months after separating finally felt comfortable with the idea of dating. He, on the other hand, started dating within 4 or 5 months. The point is there is not set time. You have to be comfortable with yourself.

Me personally I think being single for a year and working on ones self after being in a relationship for multiple years makes the most sense. It's an adjustment and a year gives you enough time to adjust, lose feelings completely, or at least get over the situation, and be able to get into a good place for yourself as well as your future partner.

There is no right or wrong answer, it depends 100% on how you feel about the possibility of a new relationship and how connected you feel to the guy you're seeing. Don't rush things, but also don't throw something good away if the case, trust your gut.
After ending a 3 year relationship, I started enjoying my time being single and I planned on not dating for at least a year.. Until I met my (now) husband only 3 months later. Started as a summer distraction but in a short time, I knew I couldn't ignore this just because others thought it would be "too soon". Going on 11 years together, expecting our baby in 2 weeks. 
Another example, my sister was in a bad relationship with constant arguing, found the strength to end it after 4 years and finding out she was cheated on. Still loved him and only 2 months after the break up, while still suffering pretty bad, she met her future husband, 7 years together and a baby girl.
Do as you feel, there is no right time.
