6 hour drive? Need opinions

Would you take a 6 hour drive knowing that you are 36 weeks pregnant? 
My husband and I are attending one of his close friend’s funeral and we’ll be gone for half a day. 
As of right now I’m 1 cm dilated and 50 % effaced. Is it to risky?

No - I’ve been told not to travel more than 2 hours drive time since 34 weeks. Same as my SIL who is due a week after me. No complications for either of us.

Talk to your doctor and take your medical records with you. I was traveling for work (by myself) up until 37.5 weeks a few hours away. Just had to make more frequent stops to stretch my legs.

No I wouldn’t! My husband wants to go to California to visit his dad for his dad’s birthday at the end of this month. I told him have fun! And I would love to go but I’m not going to risk going into labor... I’m one of those people that must have all my children at the same hospital 😅 nothing wrong with that 🤷🏽‍♀️

I just made a 4 hour trip due to my husbands friend also passing away. My Dr. said she doesn’t recommend  going a hour away but she said it would be okay.

Depends on your doctor. 1cm could be nothing for a day, could be dangerous territory if you've been having a rough few weeks.

Personally I wouldn’t, I’d hate to not be close to my hospital. Like I would be scared shitless if I happened to have a baby without my doctor. But not everyone cares about that sort of thing. And that’s just assuming today would be the day, so of course go, but take more stops to stretch so you’re not cramped in the car so long. Sorry for your loss!
