When to announce

I’m currently 10+5 seen baby at 9+0. But I had a chemical loss at 5 weeks, I’m high risk because of my weight I’m 260lbs and because I have periodontal disease so naturally I’m even more worried with the high risks and previous loss,  not sure wether to tell people at 12+4 after my next scan or because I have a deep gum cleam at dentist at 16 weeks I keep worrying that’s going to cause a miscarriage so then I’m having a scan at 17 weeks to check baby still ok from my deep gum periodontal treatment then will have a 20 week scan

First off congrats! There’s not really a rule to this. It’s whenever you’re comfortable. Some people announce right away, others wait a long time. I think that you’d be more than fine not waiting until 17 weeks, but again it’s all about your comfort.

I’m so happy that you’re having deep cleans. A lot of women who are pregnant have varying degrees of gingivitis as well. I think if you’re proactive in your cleanings, all should be well. I think announcing it after your 12 week scan should be just fine. Lots of overweight women are pregnant and fine. Sure, it could increase risks of other things but as long as you’re taking care of yourself and having prenatal care, you’re golden. Congrats!!!!
