Am I pregnant?

I took a test first thing this morning as I’m a few dates late on my period, but my cycles are very far apart anyway so I thought I would take a test. I seen one line instantly & left it on the side as I went to work. I come back to put it in the bin & seen this extremely faint pinkish line. The pic is different to read life. I went straight to asda & got a clear blue which said not pregnant. I’m so confused? I spoke to the doctors & he said to leave it another 4/5 days to let HCG levels rise if I’m pregnant. I’ve been feeling sick & being sick & need to urinate all the time. The not knowing is driving me mad 😭
