Can't read responses

When I comment on something and then they comment back, I can't see anything other than the little highlight at the bottom of my post. When I click on it, I'm taken to a response screen and if I try to click on the link again, I get rerouted back to the original post. It's a never ending circle! Please help!

I also tried to go back and take screen shots of what's happening but now I can't even find the post. It's not in my notifications, where should I be looking?
