When to have sex after d&c

Question

So I had my d&c yesterday. Obviously not ready for sex just yet, but our doctor didn’t give us a time to wait or not. I was only 6 weeks when we had the d&c. Also when do you expect your next period?

I had a d&c on 1/10 and a follow up with my OB on 1/21. At the time of the procedure they said pelvic rest for 2 weeks and at my follow up she said I can try again when ever I feel ready. There was no specific time frame in regards to cycles. There’s a lot of old information about there waiting for “x” amount of cycles so it’s easier to date the new pregnancy if you become pregnant. I’m sorry for your loss it’s definitely the worst.
