Will you be getting the flu shot?

Iv never had the flu shot in my life, im 9 weeks with baby number two and it gets mentioned every time I’m at the doctor because I’m pregnant. Never had it, no one in my family has ever had it and none of us have ever gotten the flu. What do you guys think??

I got it because baby doesn’t develop immunity for months after birth. My first was born in the dead of winter & I wanted him protected. I had had the Bird Flu a couple year before I had him- I was exposed at the hospital I worked at. It was MISERABLE. Babies & geriatrics are susceptible to common illnesses. I wanted to give my boy the best chance possible. As long as you don’t have an egg allergy, you should be fine. Baby is born with your antibodies & maintains them through breastfeeding. Just FYI.

Pregnancy is hard enough, let alone with the flu. Give yourself every opportunity to protect your health and your baby’s

The flu shot is just putting the virus in your body. That's why alot of the time people get it after the shot. I'm 30w 1d and haven't gotten flu shot and haven't gotten flu even after I was exposed (worked as nursing assistant for half of my pregnancy...was put off due to medical)

I got it but only because I rather have it & get semi sick then to not get it & get super sick & suffer.. I work with kids & the flu started going around work & I wanted to be protected & not suffer because I can’t take anything

Had it. Only had the flu once. The year I didn’t get the flu shot. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Been getting it every year.

We don’t get flu shots, and we’ve never had the flu either. My doctor brought it up at the first visit, but she hasn’t brought it up again.
