A stupid question about ovulation tests 😂

So I used an ovulation test since my early afternoon one came out much darker than the last few days, and the test did something weird. As the strip got wet, a red smudge moved across, leaving a very faint test line. I tried a second one, thinking it was faulty, and it did the same thing! None of the other tests did this, and I’m wondering if this is normal? I feel like this is such a stupid question, but I’m curious 😂
