Planned C-section Or Not?

I’m looking for some input, I know it’s ultimately my choice but maybe some outside input will help me. 
I am pregnant with my second child. My first I had to have an emergency c-section, because of that my doctor told me to think about having a planned c-section due to a risk of a ruptured uterus when delivering vaginally, it’s a low risk but is still there. If I have one this time any future children will have to be c-sections as well. 
What would you ladies do or what have you done if you have been in this situation?

Im having a scheduled csection. Its not exactly my choice. Because my first born and this one are less than 2 years apart, its safer to do a scheduled csection. It sucks ill never get the chance to have a natural birth, but i have heard that a schedule csection is alot easier and better recovery than an emergency one.

Had a last minute c-section for my daughter almost 8 years ago. Pregnant at 46 with a little boy and a candidate for vbac. Probably still going scheduled c-section route this time because of age, other high risk factors.

I think I will also have a scheduled c-section, my son got stuck after 2 hours pushing and we ended in  emergency c-section, I will learn more in the 3rd trimester.

It depends on how close the cesarean was to your pregnancy also if you’re induced. You can discuss the risks, pros and cons with your care provider. As a doula I recently attended the birth of a baby boy, mom had a cesarean with her daughter who was two (almost three). There were a few complications with baby’s heart rate but besides that it was a picture perfect labor and delivery.

I'm in the same boat...trying to decide.  My first needed an emergency c section... I just remember being so sad about not being the first one to hold my baby...  ugh

I had a c section with my first because he never turned head down. My next one will be 14 months apart and they are letting me try for a vaginal if I want. I am going to try for a vaginal just because of the fact that you have to keep having c sections after two and I don’t want to be locked into that. I’m trying to go in with an open mind and if a c section is needed then accepting it as it comes.

I’m in the same boat and having a scheduled one. My first got stuck and I couldn’t get him out after 2 hours of pushing. Bc of that I’m terrified of it happening again. I’m told a scheduled one is a lot easier and recovery is easier too.
