Is there any weird advice that you were given while you were pregnant or when your baby was born?

I have a few.

To mix a raw egg with formula and give it to your baby. Idk why I was told this.

To give newborns rice water, so it makes them full.

To tape a quarter on to your babies bellybutton if it’s sticking out so it could go back in.

To put flour or cornstarch (in case you didn’t have baby powder) on private areas.

No baths at night. (pregnancy and baby)

If your pregnant you can’t go to a funeral.

Drink (alcohol) during your very (end) to last of your pregnancy to start contractions.

And lasty (I think)

that it’s not good for newborns/babies/toddlers/children to wear any type of shoes. (Sandals, flats ect.) we were told this about my 2,4,5 year olds🤦🏼‍♀️ he said it’s not good for any kid under 5 to wear shoes because they will come out bowlegged.
