10 follicles IVF

Saw my RE today. Trying to balance optimism and disappointment. I had 10 follicles today, 6 on the right and 4 on the left. All are about the same size. Retrieval will be either Wed or Thu. RE will let me know when I see him Monday. I was hoping for more. My best friend had 16 follicles. I've seen posts where women have 20+. I know quality is more important than quantity. I'm just so desperate for this to work. Will people please share their experiences?
