Taking trigger shot after surge already detected

I did my follicle scan on Tuesday, and they did bloodwork. They found a 20 mm follicle and decided it was time to trigger ovulation with the trigger shot, so I was sent home with the shot, and told to take it that night, which I did. Tonight, 3 days later, I notice a voicemail on my phone. It was the fertility clinic called later on Tuesday afternoon, saying that my bloodwork said that I was already surging, and to NOT take the trigger shot. Now, I am worried that the trigger might have interfered with my ovulation? My husband and I only managed to have sex one time during my fertile week, on Wednesday. I thought that was the day before ovulation, but it was likely the day of ovulation. Fingers crossed!!!!🙏
