IV iron transfusions

I’m currently 34+3 weeks pregnant and I have had some recent blood tests come in and I have just found out that I am anemic. The drs have put me on iron tablets but my levels have dropped. They are now thinking of putting me on an IV drip to get iron transfusions. I’m a little worried as I get constipated with iron and don’t know how I will react to the drip.

Has anyone had an experience of the IV transfusions?
