Does birth control decrease your chance of fertility?

I am a 15 year old freshman, so pregnancy for me is no where in my near future. And I am a virgin so I am not sexually active. I want to take birth control, because it interests me, I hear it has some benefits, and blah blah blah. My mom won’t allow me to(she’s an african parent), so when I turn 16 and have a job of my own, I may consider getting. Only thing that scares me is, I would love to start a family one day. But Im scared that taking birth control for a good 10 years will ruin that. Please help !!!
