So I wanna loose weight. I’m currently 196

I would consider myself thick. I have butt, thick thighs big boobs the whole shebang... I’m convinced that if I do weights I’ll loose weight and tone up. I’m only doing 30min of Elliptical just to “warm up” I wanna get down to at least 150 but I wanna be toned... I’ve been going at it for about a month now and see no results on the scale. (I also changed the way I’m eating) am I doing this right or do I need to change my workout routine.... my husband is convinced that if I do more cardio I’ll loose more weight and tone. So I’m just confused 🤷🏻‍♀️
