When did you go on maternity leave?

Curious to see when you went! I plan on working until my due date. I wish I could take off now I’m so tired

I'm self-employed and honestly, I never took a maternity leave of any sort. I would have been bored out of my mind if I had done that. Babies sleep so much those first few weeks. I couldn't just sit there staring at the walls all day lol I worked in the hospital as well while she napped.

I worked until I went into labor. I was due on a Thursday and went to work thinking it was going to be my last day but nope. I showed up at work the next day overdue.

I had started working during my third pregnancy. My last work day was Saturday and I had her the very next day. My last pregnancy I wanted to have sometime before the baby arrived and I gave myself 2 weeks before my due date. However, 2 out 4 of my pregnancies I’ve had them on their due date. My third was 28 minutes away from her due date when she was born. Only my first, I was a week early.

I saved my PTO so i could take off the week leading up  to my due date and then had like 4 days of pto left in case I went past my due date. Then my maternity leave took me through the end of the year and my pto started over when I got back :)

Had to go on sick leave from around week 27, because of severe migraines, but would have been forced on maternity leave three weeks before the due date.

I started mine at 36 weeks as I work in hospitality and was finding the days very hard to get through by the end! 40 weeks now and definitely bored haha! It's the longest I've gone without working since I was 13 years old when I started my first job.

My first I went out when I went into labor at 39 weeks. My second I took off at 38 weeks because I was scheduled for induction at 39 weeks exactly. This pregnancy I am scheduled for induction at 38 weeks exactly and I’m taking off at 37 weeks. I took 12 weeks with each of my pregnancies and to me having that last week with my second home to best and rest was worth it so I chose to do it again this time.

I stopped at 24 weeks as I was tiered and my job is very physical. And to be honest my husband told me he would feel better if I stopped so I agreed.

I was wondering what other people did too. I would like to work close to my due date. But maybe have a week or so before my LO comes. Of course that can be unexpected tho.
