Measuring ahead?

I went to the doctors on the 23rd, and I was 8 weeks exactly. In the ultrasound it said baby was measuring at 8 weeks and 5 days. So would that be how far along I am? Or baby growing big? Sorry if it’s a stupid question! Thank you!

The measurement is more accurate than LMP date. LMP due date is just a best guessed based on when the average woman ovulates. Some.ovulate earlier some later. Until 12 weeks, all babies grow at almost the identical rate which is why dating scans are so accurate. After 12w there is some wiggle room as babies start to grow at slightly different rates. It's likely you ovulated earlier than you thought. You're most likely 8w5d not 8w.
