So the first time I ever went to the doctor for the birth control pill the doctor wouldn’t give it to me Bc I was “too you and it would throw off my hormones”.  I’ve gone to a different doctor ever since but to me that just sounds so wrong. Makes me wonder how many kids have ASKED for birth control to not get pregnant and were refused 🤦🏻‍♀️

Honestly some.doctors are stupid. My younger sister has periods that are naturally 1 month long. Some ppl need it. She started pills at 13 for her periods.

No. Different doctors are going to have different opinions and they don’t have to prescribe medications that someone asks for should they feel there’s a reason not to. Just get a second opinion like you did.

That’s strange. I started birth control for the first time at 14 for my periods. No questions asked except for the nature of my periods.
