I just turned 18 and went to the gyno to get tested and checked and everything. I've been told that I probably have endometriosis by a couple of people without medical degrees so I didnt really think anything of it. But lately my periods have been debilitating and sex has been super painful. The doctor just put me on birth control and essentially didnt say anything. But I keep thinking that I could have it. Should I wait out with the birth control or should I push my doctor and parents to a diagnosis? (Ive also had chronic pain in my ribcage for the last 3 years and no doctor can tell me why if that helps...)
