So I am 37 + 3 I woke up last night at 12:43 and started having really strong irregular contractions. At 4:51 this morning I was having them every 3 to 4 minutes at about a level 6 pain. I go in to get checked, water hasn't broken, contractions are where they are supposed to be to come in, but only 1cm dialated. I am technically in Labor according to my doctors but only super early labor. And then they tell me, by the way this could last hours or days....... consistant steady contractions and pain, but little to no dialation.

Basically they said come back if my water breaks, I'm heavily bleeding, baby stops moving or I can't breath or think through my contractions.

So basically I get to feel like crap for an undeterminable amount of time til baby comes out. This sucks.

All the doctors say come in if your contractions are 5 minutes apart and about a minute long. Mine were and still are, but no baby because I have an obnoxiously long cervix.......

I hate that online it lists all these symptoms that your in labor, but in the end none of them mean anything!!!!

Having steady painful contractions - oh those could last for days or weeks before baby comes

Dialated at all - that could last for weeks, means nothing

Lost mucous plug or had bloody show - oh it can regenerate and means nothing

Water breaks - wh you can still deliver your baby a few days later

So basically nothing is an Indictation of baby coming til they fall out......

So I have no idea when this guy is coming.

Slightly depressed and agitated now......
