Waiting till 9 weeks for first ultrasound

Anyone else waiting until 9 weeks for an ultrasound because doctor doesn’t want to see you before? I feel so weird, found out I was pregnant around 4 weeks and called the doctor and they said to come in at week 9. This is my first pregnancy so I can understand why not come in so early. It’s so weird, I know I’m pregnant, I took over 8 tests to confirm but it feels so weird to go about my days not having anything confirmed by a Dr. I think my biggest fear is going into my appt and not seeing anything on the ultrasound. Anyone else?!
