What do contractions feel like to y’all?

I can’t remember for the life of me what they actually feel like. 
I am 28 almost 29 weeks so I’m just wanting to make sure.
It was a sharp shooting pain/ cramp that went through out my whole stomach. It held for 45 seconds. Thanks ladies

Both mine started like beginning of a normal menstrual cycle cramps then the full cramps but like 10 million times stronger /:

Like waves. The pressure builds until it peaks and feels very sharp and intense then slowly fades back to normal. Usually you’ll feel it wrap around your front unless you have back labor. As things progress the pressure intensifies tremendously.

For me it just felt like really bad gas cramps.. I when to the bathroom a billion times before I realized it was labor pains..

Immediately was being stabbed in my cervix and the pain spread upward.

At first in the beginning they oddly felt like butterflies for me. Or similar. When they got stronger it was like a strong tightening that held for a few seconds and then released or eased down. This was my experience. And that was 10 years ago lol.
