We took our baby announcement photo over the weekend. I’ve dreamed of getting to take this photo for a long time and we finally made it past 12 weeks.

We are standing in my parents backyard. It’s the same place where we had our wedding in the summer of 2017, the same place we vowed to love each other forever and shared our mutual dream of starting a family of our own.

Wednesday we will be 13 weeks along and will start telling more of our family and friends, plus my work. My thought is to make it “Facebook official” sometime around Valentine’s Day.

Oh - and if anyone is interested in doing something similar with gold balloons - be warned that they get super fragile in the cold. It was -15 degrees when we took this pic. The Y exploded (so we had to go buy a new one) and then the second B exploded during the very last pic.
