Can I be pregnant? Too afraid to test!!!

My period is 5 days late on 2 apps and 2 days late on 2 apps. (Yes I have 4 apps!!! LOL) I’ve always had a regular period. This is my first month TTC. I used the opk to track my fertile days and BD during that time earlier this month. I’ve had mild cramping off and on for weeks. Tonight I am experiencing some spotting. I immediately became disappointed until I googled and talked to a friend who both stated that spotting can occur in the early stages. I promised myself I would wait until the weekend to test because then I will know that I am a week late on my period. What do you ladies think? Has anyone gone through this before and still became pregnant?
