Experience with 8+ h flights during 3rd trimester?

Need some advices from you. We plan to have a customer meeting to close a project in the US (I'm in Europe). It's my first project as a project leader, my boss would understands if I refuse to travel because of pregnancy. However I'd really like to have a closure for myelf. I will be 34-36weeks pregnant by then, the flight will be about 8hours. If you had been in a similar trip, could you share your experience? Any tips for me? Thanks.

Are you aloud to even fly that late? I know cruise lines have stipulations about that. I'm leaning towards thinking not.

I’d make sure you’re cleared to fly that late first and foremost, 36 weeks is usually where travel like that comes to a halt. Hydration and circulation are the two most important things!

If I remember correctly you can fly up to 34 weeks and after that you need a note from your doctor (sort of insurance for airlines). I flew from us to Europe and back at 32-33 weeks pregnant with my first and now at 27-29 weeks. I wouldn't feel comfortable flying past 34 weeks since I had my first baby at that time and it would freaked me out that it could happen again. 
My only advice is to have good, breathable compression socks. Also, try to walk (with frequent trips to the bathroom it won't be a problem). Drink a lot of water and put on comfortable cloths, not pretty ones. Aisle seat is also a good idea.

I flew at 24 weeks for 10 hours and will be flying again tomorrow at 31 weeks. My doctor had me take baby aspirin the week leading up to the flight to prevent blood clots. Do leg exercises and get up and walk around as often as you can. Drink lots of water! Good luck :)
