I asked my midwife about this because our bedroom is quite cold at night at the minute and she said just to be careful not to overheat. She said it's better to underdress a little rather than overdress. I've bought vests, sleep suits and cellular blankets for the first few weeks until she's ready for gro bag 😊

Our newborn care class said the same kind of layers that we’re comfortable in, plus one more. So maybe a sleeper and a swaddle or a sleeper and a sleep sack?

I usually do a sleeper since we drop the temp at night, but either a sleeper or onesie. I don’t usually put a onesie under the sleeper.
