My beautiful boy was born with HIE (Hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy) on the 23rd Dec 18. He was rushed to a NICU miles from home and it was absolutely the worst experience in the world, but also the best - because I had my baby. Spending Christmas in hospital was devastating, exhausting, emotional torture and all the feelings you all know well...

He’s now 6 weeks old, settled at home, and I’m absolutely besotted with him. He’s my perfect hero. Beating the odds, and coming out the other side of this nightmare a miracle survivor baby!

We still have a long road ahead, keeping an eye on his development and regular hospital trips. But for now, everything is

okay. ❤️
