First appointment today

So had my first appointment today. According to my last period I should be 9 weeks and 2 days, but baby only measured at 8 weeks and 2 days. I was on the mini pill and periods were irregular so doctor said that it could be why. Anyone else have this happen? Where baby measures week behind?
