Not at all. It's a competitive hobby just like sports or cook offs or anything like that 🤷🏼‍♀️ would I do them? Nah that's not my thing but who cares if others do

Yes (not saying you shouldn’t participate in them if that’s your thing). There’s really not an equivalent for men. There’s fitness shows that guys participate in as adults, but not really beauty pageants where men put their infant sons in.

At beauty pageants they tend to need a skill, an opinionated speech, they also ask questions about many subjects it’s not all about looks. 
I don’t think it is about objectifying a person, of anything it makes people realise they are people with their own accomplishments & opinions, many contestants of beauty pageants are very successful, and very charitable with their own charity or aspire to creat a charity. Beauty pageants help people accomplish goals 
Such as wanting to start a new charity, it give publicity to the work they have done/intend on doing.
If anything it helps to not objectify women because it proves they have a voice, an opinion, accomplishments etc and they are not just a pretty face

Yes. The objective of it is to parade your body around and be graded on beauty. 
If you want to do that, that’s ok. If you want to be objectified that’s completely acceptable it’s your body, BUT don’t act like that’s not what it is.

They’re objectifying themselves so I don’t think there’s really a problem. As long as they’re not going to extreme lengths (making themselves unhealthy mentally or physically) then let them be happy 🤷🏼‍♀️

If you think those women are objectifying themselves, sure. But, they join them willingly. Its a competition they join, and have many other subjects in the competition that has nothing to do with looks.

I feel the women that enter them enjoy them and aren't forced into participating in them if they don't want to.

I put yes, they certainly aren't as much anymore. They're kind of their own realm like competitive cheerleading lol the ppl I know who've done pageants did it for the scholarships.
