Inducing because baby is small? 36 week app

Question

So I just had my 36 week appointment and he says I look small and my stomach is measuring small
He scheduled me for a growth ultrasound next week Monday but has anyone gone through this?
Did your ultrasound turn out normal? Have you been induced for being too small?

To me, the measuring they do is pointless because it’s almost never accurate. I wouldn’t get induced do to her size unless it was an absolute emergency. With some doctors, induction can definitely be more about money and less about baby..

I wouldn’t go for that unless it was like IUGR small. Ultrasound can be off by up to 2 lbs so if there’s no other reason I’d be highly suspicious. Also fundal height is not very accurate either. With my first I always measured 2-3 weeks ahead at the end but by ultrasound she measured a week behind. This one my fundal height was 2 weeks ahead a couple weeks ago and now it’s a week behind.

I was induced at 39 weeks for my last son because thy said he was measuring 5lbs 15oz. My son cane out 6lbs 11oz and he’s my biggest baby.

My baby is showing small in the ultrasound and in the belly measurement so I had to get growth and well-being ultrasounds every 2-4 weeks they said my baby was in the 3rd percentile but over the last 6-8 weeks she has moved to the 18th percentile (over 10th percentile is good)
I go for my next appointment soon although they haven’t mentioned an induction to me as of yet. My first born was 4 weeks early naturally and was healthy to go home 2 days later at 6pound 8 ounces so it’s best not to stress too much :)

My first baby started measuring small around 34 weeks. At 40 weeks my midwife wanted me to induced. I declined. She told me there is a risk of still born but I still declined. My daughter came on her own at 40 weeks and 6 days. The day before I was going to just get induced. For those 5 days I went to the hospital everyday to get an ultrasound and a stress test. Each day it was fine.

See I don't understand this, where I am in the UK we don't get our bumps measure at all! I'm 5 ft 2 and with my first and second baby I had a big enough bump ( small to some) nd both of my babies were an over average weight for Their gestation and they were also premature. Wait for a growth scan to see but even at that they aren't 100% accurate all the time just remember all baby's grow differently

My daughter measured small but I measured normal. Due to combination of high BP and her lack of growth I was induced at 38w. She was 6lbs7oz

I’ve been measuring small since 28 weeks and have had growth ultrasounds nearly biweekly. They want him in as long as possible. My fluid was low so we’re monitoring that but at my last appt which was 35 weeks he made a big leap and now we are back on track and not worried at all. I’ve talked to a bunch of people who measured small and unless fluid is low everyone said baby was perfect!

With my first I was induced on my due date because they said she was “too small” that was 5 years ago so I don’t remember anything other than that. Long story short I ended up with an Emergency C Section (which can happen with being induced) but her cord was wrapped around her neck 3 times and had a true knot tied in it. But anyways she was not “too small” she was 6lbs 12.8oz
