Toddler hairstyle

My daughter is turning 4. She’s due for her first hair cut. Her hair is all the way down to the bottom of her butt. It’s very, very fine. It stays in her face unless she leaves a little clip in it. She pitches a fit when we brush and dry it (my mom says I reap what I sow.....😂). So my questions to you mommas and/or hair stylist: trim it? Or give her a new style? I’m not a girly girl. I like hunting and fishing and camo. So styles for hair are not my thing. Any suggestions would be taken into consideration!
