missed period

so im on the pill but i have missed most of the last pack. i usually get my period or some sort of spotting when i miss. I have only spotted once on one day two weeks ago and now the app says my period is 6 days late. I havent had any spotting either. When should I take a test?

Update I took a test a couple days ago and it came back negative but i still haven’t gotten my period and im almost 2 weeks late. what do you guys think i should do? Also i haven’t had a period in january at all!!!
