is my boyfriend okay??

my boyfriend has been complaining about back pain for two days now but nothing serious, then this morning he woke up with severe kidney pain and said he might have to go to the hospital so of course I got up immediately like ready and he said he’s okay he doesn’t wanna go but it’s been consistent for at least an hour. I told him we can go to a clinic when it opens but I’m kinda worried he looks faint but swears he’s feeling better. what could be happening?
