Progesterone??

With my last pregnancy I was put on progesterone suppositories because of low progesterone. This pregnancy they didn’t have me come in for bloodwork just went ahead and scheduled my first ultrasound and prenatal visit. So far this pregnancy is somewhat different than my first... I was spotting/bleeding the first few weeks due to the low progesterone and this pregnancy I have not experienced the spotting/bleeding which is a good sign. Has anyone had this experience? I’m trying not to stress over it since everything seems fine so far. But it has me thinking if I should call to schedule bloodwork to see if my progesterone is within normal limits?

Call and tell them that you had to have progesterone with the last... they will likely do labs. I brought it up to my dr at my annual so we were on the same page before I got pregnant. So as soon as I tested positive I was getting labs the next day, every other day x3.

I agree I would call and ask to have your level checked but I had low progesterone with my first and took the supplements. With my second one it was also on the low side but not quite as low so my Dr said I should try to go without because I was still nursing and everything turned out fine anyway. I had a lot of cramping with my first but hardly any with the second.

I called and they said they could have done two things for me: first being just go ahead and give me progesterone suppositories or have me come in and get my bloodwork done. I opted for the bloodwork. I’d rather know first if I even need it or if it’s within normal limits.
