Now I understand why we get pregnant

Ni

Here we are, on our babymoon and I’m 35 weeks pregnant. We’ve decided to fly to Rome for several days and enjoy lovely weather and each other.

Well, as my hubby was too indecisive about the flights, we’ve missed the opportunity to have a direct 3,5h flight. We ended up spending 15 hours flying and finally got to Rome, we were stuck parked for 6 hours in the plane due to bad weather in Munich.

My hubby was moaning how tired he was. I was just quiet at that point.

Next day we did a huge tour and walked the whole day, I was a bit in agony as Vatican museum had no chairs to rest, we’ve spent the whole day on foot and my back and feet were about to give up to the point I couldn’t sleep half a night or turn. Overkilled it. Again, my hubby was complaining how his feet hurt and blah blah blah.

Today, he had some stomach bug and the whole day just spent in bed sleeping and in details telling me how he feels. So the day was ruined.

And now I understood why women get pregnant but not men. He would completely drive me nuts for 9 months if he would feel what I feel, if he would not sleep for many months, have back pain, BH, pelvic pain, swollen cankels, nausea in the beginning, mood swings, hormonal changes with sweating, short of breath, excess weight, change of breast.... and it’s probably just half of what we are experiencing. Our humanity would die, now I’m sure in it.

I got a bit irritated today by the whole “man flu” syndrome as he was planning to go to the hospital tomorrow if his stomach still hurts (no vomiting, no diarrhea, just nauseous and stomach pain). And I just couldn’t imagine him in my shoes for all these 35 weeks.

So, ladies, just wanted to tell you how proud I am what we all do and how we all go by day by day with our babies in our bellies! Huge work and effort! No one else can do that tremendous amount of work!

Big respect!
