If you waited to find out sex of baby until birth, was it hard to bond with baby or did it not matter?

Just curious. I want to wait till birth to find out the sex of baby but people say it will be hard to bond with he/she while pregnant if I don’t know why they are

I waited and it was probably a good six weeks before I really felt like I loved him. 
I’m not sure if that was solely because of waiting to find out his sex though - I wasn’t excited about being pregnant even though it was a planned pregnancy, and I had a precipitous birth that left me in shock a bit. 
We decided to find out the sex in advance this time and it’s positively impacted the way I am feeling about the pregnancy in general so I’m glad we did. 
If you’re already excited about it and feeling like you’re bonding with your baby then stick to your guns and ignore all the people who say it will be harder to bond. Everyone is different and I have to say, it was pretty cool to hear my husband make the announcement of “it’s a boy!” in the delivery room.

I’m not finding out the gender and I feel totally bonded with my baby. To be honest, it kind of annoys me when people throw out opinions like that to try to make me change my mind, or when people say they can’t shop or buy anything without knowing. I’m doing just fine 💁🏼‍♀️😉

I thought I was having a boy and had a girl, we kept the gender a surprise. I felt immediately bonded to my baby even though I had to remind myself she was a girl the first day or so lol. We loved waiting with her and I am 30.5 weeks and we are waiting again.

I loved waiting. I’d just tell my baby every day I couldn’t wait to meet it and find out what it was. Once my son was born I couldn’t wait to squeeze him because I’d been waiting so long to know what he was. I am not finding out with this baby either. It’s such a great surprise.

I loved it. I felt like I got to know who my baby was without a bunch of preconceived notions. We bought cheap clothes second-hand and didn't stress about it. Finding out at the delivery was AMAZING. Best moment of my life, especially because I suspected we were having a girl and we did. As an aside, we found out afterwards that the US tech got it wrong and had her marked as a boy!!! So I'm so SUPER glad we didn't find out

I find all those sorts of people ridiculous. What do you think people for all of history did until the mid 1990’s? Didn’t bond with their babies and bought no clothes? It’s absurd. Finding out the sex is fine, but it’s by no means a requirement- not knowing is what parents have been doing literally forever.

We didn’t find out gender. I’m 26 weeks and I’m bonding fine 😊 every little kick and poke warms my heart. Thinking about that once in a lifetime surprise is what keeps me from getting anxious. I’m so in love with this little baby, I don’t even seem to care what it’s going to be.
