My birth story (kind of long, good and bad!)

So I had a sweep done on Wednesday 30th January and contraction started at 7:50pm, at 4:30am I went over the hospital they said I was at 3cm by the time I got home etc it was 6:30 by this time the contractions were stronger so as soon as I got home

I jumped in the shower and had a nice long one while rocking back and forth with each contraction 😂 by 11am I was really having them now so me and the OH left for the hospital once again, thinking I wouldn’t be that much further along i’d told my partner I wanted some thing to help me sleep (I had already been awake 2 days and didn’t sleep a wink! Not good when your in labour!) so we get there for 11:20 and they check me and tell me I’m about to have this baby in the hour as I’m now at 9!!! (FTM total shock!) they told me early on in my pregnancy that I wouldn’t be allowed a water birth but to my complete surprise they allowed me to jump in the tub!!! 😍 so here I am, me my OH and my MIL all waiting for this little one to come! I push and push and my goodness it hurt! My beautiful baby girl was born a short while later at 2:48pm 31st January! 🥰🥰💖 my partner and mother in law where absolutely fantastic supporting me through every thing! After my birth I did have a few complications, I tore my whole right labia, torn down to my bum, torn on the inside and had membrane left inside of me, I lost over 1000ml of blood and ended up having to have 2 blood transfusions and it was horrific! I honestly didn’t know if I would be leaving that operating theatre and be able to see my OH and our baby girl, but thankfully I am still here fighting! On top of that one of the midwives leak my information to my mother that I had given birth (long story short my mother is also a midwife and I haven’t seen my mother in 11 years and she has no right being in my life after the stuff that happened hence why I’ve had nothing to do with her) so the midwife breached patient confidentiality which is now under investigation as I of course made a complaint against her! Me and baby girl are now home and I’m healing emotionally and physically, hoping the road to recovery is a quick one! My OH has been absolutely fabulous and my god the love I have for this man is just unbelievable! We are so happy we have our beautiful little rainbow baby 😍😍😍 everyone meet Seren Mai James I am so in love with you baby girl! You were worth every ounce of pain to get you here and I would do it all over again a million times if I had to! 😍🥰😘💖
