When would you pierce your baby’s ears?

I want to pierce her ears when she’s little, just not sure when i should. I’ve had mine since i was a baby but can’t remember how old my mom said i was when she did it. I don’t wanna hear any crap about piercing her ears when she’s a baby. So if you only have shit things to say please, GO AWAY🙂

No for two reasons...1. Maybe she doesn’t want her ears pierced. 2. My mom had mine done at 4 months and the hole doesn’t stay in the same spot and shifted towards the edge of my ear. Now it looks foolish to have earrings in.

I’m having my first girl and I thought about this. I am totally supportive of those who want to get it done early. My only personal reason I think I am going to wait is because I am lazy and don’t want to upkeep with the maintenance or replacing lost earrings all the time. I figure when she asks me and tells me she wants it, we will go have it done. Earrings are cute on baby’s, I just think I am going to wait.

My sister in law us a professional piercer and strongly suggests not doing it as a baby. Only because the kids ears change so much that the holes become uneven. She suggested waiting until around 11 because the structure is more stable. Her shop only does piercings and they wonr do them on babies. Obviously people still do and mine were. I would just wait a while and let her grow before doing it. Maybe wait till she is like 2 or 3.

I would wait because like someone said below- the holes will move. I got mine done when I was 4 and it hardly hurt (I remember my mom told me if I cried I wasnt allowed to get it done haha). I remember being so so so excited to finally get them done 😊
Also you should get them done at a tattoo parlor by a professional piercer (more sterile, they do a better job, peircing heals faster) and a lot of them will not pierce babies.

Mine where done the day after I got out of the hospital by my mom.  My daughter got hers at 2 months just because she was a preemie.  I have heard of taking kids to the tattoo parlor to get them pierced (looking into it for her second set of earrings).  It’s suppose to be more sanitary than having the local mall shops do it with the same gun they use on everyone.

I had my daughters ears pierced at 6months and honestly I wish I would have waited until she was 1 or maybe alittle older bc she constantly pulled them out trying to play with them and they would get lost.
